What Are Characters?
21 Playable Characters
There are 21 playable characters available in Kirby Air Riders. Each rider has a unique set of Special Skills and stats that differentiate them from the rest of the cast.
Notably, Kirby has different Special Skills in each of their alternate forms. Players can experience 24 unique gameplay in total from the characters in the roster!
Obtained Through the Checklist
Characters are acquired as a reward by completing objectives in the Checklist. The mission rewards a character if a green background with a character silhouette is visible in the right-hand preview.

Rider Quiz: Who Should You Main?
Characters Have Different Stats
Each character has different stats that affect the current Machine they have equipped. Players can create combos to either maximize a stat or create a balanced setup for game modes.
List of All Power-Ups and Stats
Each Character Has a Unique Special
Characters each have their own unique Special that can be used once the special gauge is full. Each Special has unique effects that can either boost speed, attack enemies, or defend from other abilities that define a character's identity.
Kirby Has 4 Different Specials
Kirby is the only rider among all the playable characters whose alternate colors each have their own Special. The Red, Yellow, and Blue variants of Kirby each have their own Special, which are separate from the original Kirby.
Note that other playable characters have their own alternate colors as well, but are purely cosmetic and inherit the original Special!
Characters Can Equip Headwear
Riders can be customized by equipping Headwear from Checklist rewards or purchased with Miles in the Miles Shop.
