How to Avoid Giant Gordos
Run Away from Falling Gordos
When you get notified that Gordos are falling from the sky, the best way to avoid them while on the ground level of the City Trial map is to run away before you get hit.
The Giant Gordos can deal damage to your Machine when you get hit by them, so move around carefully if your Machine already has low durability.
You Can Pick Up Power-Ups Later On
After some time, the Giant Gordos that have already fallen to the ground will disappear and leave behind Power-Ups. Once the conditions become less dangerous, you can try to pick them up to continue upgrading your Machine.

Do Not Escape Underground
The Giant Gordos' spikes can penetrate and reach underground areas, so they're not safe to hide in. It's hard to predict the locations that the Giant Gordos will land in, so it's best to keep moving.

The Space Inside the Volcano
The volcano in the City Trial map can be entered through its crater at the top, which leads to a mysterious space that's safe from the Giant Gordos. However, the volcano is located all the way north and it may take some time to reach.
If you're not anywhere near the volcano, it'll be easier to stay on the ground level and continue running from the falling Gordos. This way, you'll have more time to pick up the Power-Ups that are left behind.
Garden in the Sky and Areas Below
Giant Gordos will not fall from the sky above the Garden in the Sky. This also means that the areas underneath the garden will be safe as well.
You can also pick up a lot of Power-Ups at the Garden in the Sky. However, you can quickly seek refuge by just hiding in the areas covered by the garden instead.
