How to Destroy the Huge Pillar
Continuously Attack the Pillar
When a huge pillar appears during the City Trial, you must destroy the pillar by repeatedly hitting it with Quick Spins, Specials, or Attack Items.
The huge pillar is hard to take down by yourself, so having other players attack at the same time will finish the job faster.
Use Machines with High Attack Power

Machines with high Attack stats can help you deal more damage with items and attack moves. If they're available you can try to use Machines like Battle Chariot or Rex Wheelie to destroy the huge pillar.
Destroy the Huge Pillar Rewards
Get a Lot of Power-Ups
Once the huge pillar is completely destroyed, it will leave behind a lot of Power-Ups that can be used to boost your Machine's stats. Take note that these Power-Up rewards are free for the taking so even players who didn't help can grab them!
Also Drops Power-Ups as It's Attacked
Before the huge pillar breaks, there are some instances where it will drop Power-Ups one at a time as it's attacked. If one drops near you, be sure to pick it up quickly!
