The Paddock is an online lobby where players can hang out and play together in Kirby Air Riders. Check out how to create and join a paddock, what you can do in the Paddock, and related checklist missions here!
List of Contents

Open the Paddock from the Connect menu. You can Open a Paddock and set it to Everyone or Friends Only. You can also choose to lock the Paddock behind a Passcode that others will need to enter.
You can also create a Paddock with a friend by using the Friends tab under the Search button. When setting up a Paddock, you can choose the maximum capacity up to 32.

Every Paddock also has an assigned Paddock ID that you can see in the lower part of the Menu while inside the Paddock. You can search for a specific Paddock using its Paddock ID, or search for a random Paddock by selecting All or by Play Style.

When you're hosting the Paddock, you can choose to kick out a member if they're being unruly or a troll. You can check the member list in the Menu.

You can also start a race in the Paddock! You can choose to play Air Ride, Top Ride, or City Trial and invite other members of the Paddock to join you.

There are two Terminals located on either side of the Paddock that you need to interact with to start the game.
Whenever someone starts a race, there will be a notification on the upper right side of the screen. You can press the X button on your controller to join the race.

There is also the option to show off your Garage or admire another player's Garage by interacting with the Terminals.

You can communicate with other players using the Chat Emote options while in the Paddock! The emotes can be opened in several ways, though note that the combination L-Stick and R-Stick requires a Pro Controller or dual Joy-Cons.
There is also the option to use Voice Chat instead.
| Open Emote Button | How to Navigate |
|---|---|
| Press the Y Button | Use the L-Stick to select a category and press Y to confirm. Use the L-Stick again to select the Emote and press Y to send. |
| Shift the L-Stick and R-Stick at the same time. | Different combinations of L-Stick and R-Stick positions bring up different chat options. Press the R or L button to send the Emote. |
| Press L or R Button | Use the L-Stick to select a category and the R-Stick to select an emote, which will automatically send when you let go of the R-Stick. |

You can change the background music in your Paddock through the jukebox beside one of the match terminals!

You can also change your character and machine at any time while inside the Paddock. Note that if you join a race, you cannot change your character or machine after joining.
The Paddock has an attic that can be accessed by jumping above the terminals on the right. This can easily be done by using Starman to jump high into the ceiling.
