Boss Tips

Utilize Physical Defense Skills

Octopath Traveler 2 - Defend Against Physical Attacks

A majority of the Behemoth's attacks are mostly physical. This is complemented by one of its skills that allows it to increase its physical attack damage. Utilize skills such as the Cleric's Prayer to the Flame or the Warrior's Stout Wall to increase your characters' physical defense. If you have a Dancer, you can even apply Sealticge's Seduction first to extend the buffs to the entire team.

If you have Partitio as an Arcanist, his skill Side Step allows him to dodge physical attacks. Combined with the Arcanist's Seal of Diffusion, and you'll have your entire team avoiding physical attacks for several turns.

Utilize Rehabilitate Skill

Octopath Traveler 2 - Rehabilitate

One of the Behemoth's devastating moves is to Petrify your characters, turning them to stone, unable to perform any actions. Utilize the Apothecary's skill Rehabilitate to protect your most important characters from being petrified. If you have a Dancer, you can use the Sealticge's Seduction skill to apply Rehabilitation to your entire team. If you have Agnea as your Apothecary, you can use her latent power with Rehabilitate for the entire team as well.

Purchase Herb-of-Grace Bud

Octopath Traveler 2 - Purchase Herb-of-Grace-Bud

Before confronting the Behemoth, it is recommended to purchase several Herb-of-Grace Buds from the Black Market first. This will allow you to cure characters of petrification, countering the Behemoth's skill.
