Be Sure to Save Beforehand Focus on Lackeys First Make the Most of Your Skills

Be Sure to Save Beforehand

This fight with Giff may be particularly difficult if you didn't grind earlier before reaching this point in his mansion. Just before the confrontation area, there will be a Save Point and a Merchant. Use this time to gear up since you will be facing Giff alone if you were not able to hire a villager to accompany you.

Focus on Lackeys First

His lackeys are much easier to Break and temporarily incapacitate, making them ideal first targets. If you bought the Spear and Copper Breastplate from the merchant before facing Giff and his men, your defense should be enough to handle Giff's attacks while you take out his men.

Partitio has a broken skill mechanic called “Rest” that replenishes his HP and SP, while also curing status ailments. While this may seem like something any other character can do with an item or other skill, Partitio's skill is particularly interesting because you lose no item nor SP in the process.
