The Ghast is one of the two mini-bosses that appear in the Flames of the Nether DLC. It shoots out flaming projectiles toward you, but its slow movement and big stature makes it easy to hit back with projectiles.

The Ghast's flaming projectile not pass through walls or structures, so you can hide behind cover to avoid being set on fire by its projectiles. In areas without cover, you can look at the Ghast's mouth to see when it will fire a projectile then dodge to the side.

Since the Ghast only attacks with projectiles, you can also bring a Totem of Shielding to completely nullify its attacks while freely attacking it with your arrows.
