Minecraft Dungeons Review

Fun Remix of the Original

Against Redstone Golem.jpg

If you already played the orginal Minecraft and a fan of RPGs, especially dungeon crawlers, you'll be excited to hear that Minecraft Dungeons offers an impressive chemistry of both!

Minecraft Dungeons brings you back to the original in a different vibe. You will encounter familiar mobs and blocks while trekking through creepy forests, barren lands, sinister castles, and more! Along with these new experiences are weapons, armors, and artifacts that will help you overcome the challenges that hinders your quest to stop the Arch-Illager's madness.

Interesting Replayability

The game is a somehow short that you can even finish the main story in one sitting even if you don't speedrun every mission.

However, you will definitely feel the game more once you're at the post-game contents. Beating the game for the first time will give you access to contents that are more packed than the actual story. The post-game opens up a wide variety of setups as well as better and stronger items that will surely get you hooked again after the fight that you thought was the end of your journey.

A Little Bit Complicated

Considering that the original Minecraft is a kid-friendly game, Minecraft Dungeons won't be that easy to get a hang of since it adds features that requires actual planning. Certain gear and artifacts as well as specific enchantments are needed to effectively deal with some parts of the game and more on the post-game even though Mojang made their descriptions easy to understand.

Removed the Craft in Minecraft

If you are looking forward for more crafting in Minecraft Dungeons, this might hurt your feelings. The game literally lacks the "Crafting" part in Minecraft which is the most important feature of Minecraft and what made it enjoyable and popular.

Who knows, maybe the crafting feature is to be added in the future along with the upcoming DLCs. There's no announcement regarding that feature, yet, but be sure to stay tuned for more updates!
