Mission Objectives

 Navigate the Outer Islands Begin your search for the Citadel by gliding with your Elytra and following the objective marker. |
| 2 |
 a (A) Keep following the objective marker as you climb up the mountain. |
| 3 |
 a (A) Eventually, you will be trapped in a room closed off by gates, and you must defeat the mobs that spawn to move forward. An Enderman will spawn during this battle. |
| 4 |
 [midBreach the Gates[/mid] Afterward, you must glide using your Elytra and follow the objective marker again to reach an entrance to another area. |
| 5 |
 Enter the Gate Tower Go through the entrance to enter the tower. |
| 6 |
 Unlock the Monolithic Gate You must then climb the tower, defeating mobs and pushing buttons scattered across each level to open the gates that lead to the next level of the tower. |
| 7 |
 Fly to the Citadel Once you reach the final level, the last gate will lead to an exit outside the tower's top floor. Use the nearby piston to launch yourself, and continue following the objective marker. |
| 8 |
 Fight the Enderlings (2) As you keep moving forward, you will reach another area where you must fight waves of mobs. Defeat them to continue progressing through the mission. |

 Explore the Citadel As you follow the objective marker, you will find yourself blocked by a gate with a box nearby. Similar to the gates from the End Wilds, you must lead the Shulker's projectiles toward the box near the gate to open it. |
| 10 |
 Fight the Enderlings (3) After you pass through the gate, keep moving forward, and you will find yourself hindered by more gates. Defeat the mobs that spawn to continue forward. An Endersent will appear in this battle. |
| 11 |
 Find the Capital After defeating the mobs, follow the objective marker again, and you will be met by a blue gate. Push the buttons nearby then keep heading left until you reach the blue key. Insert the key inside the gate then move forward. |
| 12 |
 Battle Across the Bridge Before the final battle, you must navigate through a bridge full of mobs. Keep following the objective marker while defeating the mobs that come your way. |
| 13 |
 Defeat the Vengeful Heart Finally, you must defeat the Vengeful Heart of Ender. |
| 14 |
 Activate the Exit Portal After beating the Vengeful Heart, keep following the objective marker until you reach the exit portal. Use the portal to exit the mission. A cutscene will play celebrating the defeat of the Heart of Ender. |
Boss Strategy Guide
Enderman
An Enderman will appear during the first Fight the Enderlings objective. Watch out for when it teleports, and stay away to avoid its melee attacks.
Endersent
An Endersent appears during the third Fight the Enderlings objective. Its attacks are slow and reactable, so roll away once it raises its arms.
Vengeful Heart of Ender
The Heart of Ender returns stronger than ever as the Vengeful Heart of Ender. Avoid its charging attack and its projectiles, and stay away from the Vengeful Heart when its invulnerable.
