Minecraft Dungeons - Illusioner Battle Overview

The Illusioner is fought in all three Missions of the Creeping Winter DLC. It summons multiple clones of itself that all fire arrows at you. However, the real Illusioner will fire a more damaging exploding arrow instead.

Illusioner Attacks and Abilities

Summon Clones

The Illusioner's main gimmick is that it will summon illusionary clones of itself around you that will all attack you with arrows. When you eliminate all of the clones, the Illusioner will teleport and summon another batch of clones again.

Exploding Arrow

While the clones fire normal arrows toward you, the real Illusioner will fire an exploding arrow, dealing more damage and pushing you back.

Bring Equipment with Area of Effect (AoE) Damage

Minecraft Dungeons - Harvester

Since the Illusioner summons multiple copies of himself, weapons or artifacts that deal area-of-effect damage, such as the Harvester or the Fireworks Arrow, will be very helpful in dealing with all of the clones at once.

Bring a Totem of Shielding

Minecraft Dungeons - Totem of Shielding

Since the clones spawn all around you, you can easily get overwhelmed by the arrows being fired at you. However, a Totem of Shielding will completely block off all projectiles, giving you time to breathe and safely attack the Illusioner and its clones.
