To make the Tempest Golem vulnerable to your attacks, you must stand inside the square surrounding each pillar. As you stay inside each square, the light of the runes on each pillar will slowly go out. Once both pillars have been depowered, you can then attack the Boss.

In order to prevent you from staying inside the squares too long, the Boss smash the ground near the pillars, which deals damage in an area and knocks you back. Move away from the squares preemptively to dodge the attack.

The pillars will also try to prevent you from staying inside the squares for too long by using wind attacks. Wait for the animation of the pillars sucking in air, then leave roll away from the pillars to dodge their attacks.

The Tempest Golem can also strike down lightning on you. However, you can see the lightning follow you first before it strikes down, so run and roll away from the marker on the ground to avoid the lightning.
