The Moogle storage is, of course, a place to store items. A not known fact however, is that the storage can be accessed by your other characters as well. Purchasing a Mark of Shella or obtaining it in a dungeon can allow you to store it so it can easily be obtained by your other characters. The Mark of Shella is also not needed by the Yuke race since all Yukes has free access to Shella.
