Sub Mobile Suit Guide

Gundam UC Engage's highly anticipated Sub Mobile Suit System has finally arrived with its 2025/4/4 update! Read on to learn what Sub Mobile Suits are, what Sub Skills are, and how the new system works.

Sub Mobile Suit Guide

What are Sub Mobile Suits?

Sub Mobile Suits

The Sub Mobile Suit system is a major gameplay update to Gundam UCE which allows players to allow 2 mobile suits to accompany one of the units in your party in battle.

These Sub-Mobile Suits help the main mobile suit in battle with their own stats as well as Sub Skills that increase its overall effectiveness. The feature is unlocked when players reach Player Rank 100.

How Does the Sub Mobile Suit System Work?

Sub-Skills Enhance the Main Mobile Suit

Sub Mobile Suit Skils

Each Sub-MS has a set of Sub-Skills that are granted to the main MS they're supporting. The effects and potency of these skills are directly influenced by the Sub-MS' Potential Lv. Potential Lv. 0 will not grant any Sub-Skills, and will only grant the Sub-Stats mentioned above.

These Sub-Skills vary for each mobile suit, and some sets of skills are better than others. These skills range wildly from simple buffs like bonus evasion, accuracy, or damage, to more powerful effects like Bullseye, healing, or even conditional damage buffs that grant increased damage against mobile suits of a specific unit category.

These bonuses can really be a game-changing effect that can really take things to another level, or cover for a mobile suit's weakness. When choosing Sub-MSs for your units, factor in their Potential Lv. and the Sub-Skills they grant.

Sub-MSs Can Only Join Mobile Suits of the Same Color Type

Only mobile suits of the same color type can join each other as Sub-Mobile Suits. This means that when choosing your Sub-MSs, you're limited to choosing only from a pool of units of the same type.
