List of Contents
Special Operation is an event mode where each mobile suit you use costs points, and the goal is to spend the least amount of points to complete the event's set of battles. The event will end on April 23, 2025, at 10:59 a.m. Japanese Standard Time.
In this event, the points you earn from each mobile suit or pilot are tied to their rarity. The higher the unit's rarity, the more points it costs. Some mobile suits and pilots, particularly those from the Mobile Suit Victory Gundam and Gundam U.C. Engage, have their costs cut by 50%.
Meanwhile, the brand new units, the V2A Gundam and Uso Ewin, are totally free to use. You'll need to fill full teams of 6 mobile suits and 6 pilots, so you can't save points by leaving empty spots on your roster. Below is a table on how much each mobile suit costs in this game mode.

The event features three battles of increasing difficulty, each against a team of Green-type units. You can only win with a mobile suit and pilot once, and after that, you can't use them again, similar to Total War. The mobile suits you've won with also cannot join the subsequent batles as Sub MSs. Sub MSs on your team will not add any points, so make sure you add them in.
The ultimate goal of the event is for you to spend 200 or less points. The fewer points you clear the event with, the more rewards you'll earn. That said, you'll want to maximize the use of R-rarity mobile suits and pilots, as these are the ones that'll cost the least amount of points. If you're one of those players who are at or at least close to max rank, you could power your way through the first two battles with teams full of R units. This is the ideal way and the only way you can finish the match with only 200 points or less. Make sure that you've invested in them to boost your chances of success. Luckily, R-rarity units are easy to invest in given how they don't need too much resources, and the ones they need are rather abundant.
Battle 2 may be hard, especially if you're a F2P player without much investment outside of your main team. To beat this battle with only R and discounted SR units, take out the enemy V2 Gundam first, as this is the enemy team's healer. If you don't, the enemy team will just keep healing to outlast you.
Using only R-rarity units, as well as the discounted R/SR ones, should bring you to 88 points, leaving you with 112 for the final battle.

Battle 3 faces you off with a very powerful team full of special Green-type versions of different mobile suits. This battle is very tough, and the opponents you'll face will have constant healing and high evasion built into their kits.
If you did it the optimal way, you should have 112 points left for the final battle. This leaves you with 2 fully-kitted pairs of Extreme or Super Limited units. However, you won't have enough leftover points at all for the filler units if you want to score at or under 200 points. That said, completing the event with only 200 points requires 1 of 2 units. These two units are the only discounted mobile suits that are built to go against a powerful team like the one you have to face in Battle 3. There have been no reports of people being able to do it without one of these units.
The first of these units is the brand new V2A Gundam, as well as its pilot Uso Ewin. This duo is not only excellent at dealing damage in this battle, it also has excellent survivability and can survive for the entire match thanks to its heal, Perfect Guard, and other defensive skills. Moreover, this duo is absolutely free of any point costs, leaving you with wiggle room for a stronger MS/Pilot duo on your team.
The 2nd must-have unit for the completion of this event is the Awakened Magna Martell. It'll deal even more damage than the V2A, and the permanent Absolute Evade status once her HP falls below 50% of the max will make her borderline invulnerable.
This next mobile suit isn't really a must-have, but is also extremely strong, has self-heals, and prevents its target from healing. The Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility NT-D is another fine choice to pair alongside the Magna Martell if you have the space.
Without these units, you'll probably have to use your full UR team and go way over the target of 200 points. However, even with your full UR team at max investments, you may still not be able to clear this event at all given how difficult it is.
This event rewards its players with Custom Tickets and Haro Coins of all kinds, as well as Diamonds. The fewer points you have after clearing the event, the more rewards you'll earn.
If you clear the event with 200 or fewer points, you'll get a unique Special Operation title.
