How to Play Special Operation Event

Make the Perfect Team Within the Team Cost Limit

Battle 2 Special Operation

The Special Operation event features a set of battles where players can only make teams within a specific team cost limit. The higher a unit's rarity, the more points it will cost.

Depending on the specific iteration of the event, certain units will only cost 50% of the points they would've cost to use otherwise.

Players will need to fill full teams of six mobile suits and six pilots (which means players cannot save points by leaving empty spots in their roster).

For this iteration of Special Operation, there are three battles of increasing difficulty against teams of Green-type units. Once a mobile suit and unit have been used, they cannot be used again even as Sub MSs. Using Sub MSs does not cost any points.

Players should focus on clearing the event using the least amount of points possible. If players manage to clear the event using just 120 points, they will likely earn all the rewards up for grabs during the event.

To do this, players are recommended to use R-rarity mobile suits and pilots, as these cost the least amount of points. Players who are at or are close to the max player rank can power their way through the first two battles with teams full of R units. Fortunately, R-rarity units are easy to invest in since they do not need too many resources to upgrade.

If players used too many points, they can reset their progress and try again for a better (lower) score.

Important rewards in the Special Operation event (such as UR Gears for Armored Units) can only be won if a player manages to clear the event after using only 120 - 150 points.

This means players need to use an average of 40 - 50 points per battle to hit that mark.

Use R or SR Units With Reduced Cost

R or SR units with Reduced Cost

The key to hitting 120 - 150 points is to exclusively use R or SR units with the 50% cost reduction. Hopefully, you have a good stock of them.

Some reduced cost SR units include the Assault Marasai, the SR version of the Kampfer High Mobility, and the Gundam Delta Ans.

Use Only One UR MS With Reduced Cost

A reduced cost UR unit still costs 21 points, which means players will have to make do with using 1 UR mobile suit while pairing it with an SR or R pilot.

Players who pulled for the Hambrabi recently will be pleased to know that this suit has a reduced cost. The-O (Purple) at Grade 2 is also a good, low-cost alternative.

Reset Often

Reset

Resetting one's progress is an integral part of Special Operation, especially since achievement rewards for the event give custom tickets and Haro Coins.

These items can be used to make units with reduced costs stronger, which can bring a player closer to the 120 - 150 point mark if they pick the right units to upgrade. Even hitting 200 points can win a player many leveling resources, which they can then immediately use to strengthen units that can help their score go even lower.

Be Mindful of Leveling Materials

Level Up Materials

For newer players, note that Special Operation requires participants to suddenly level up units they have never used before and spend leveling materials on them.

Veteran players will have gathered many levelling materials throughout their playthrough of Gundam UCE and can upgrade units without much worry. Newer players, on the other hand, may have not yet built up the resources necessary to do this. This is why they are advised to be very careful in choosing which units they want to level up.

The Special Operation event is partly a test of how many units a player has (so they have many R and SR units to pick from) and how many resources they can spend to upgrade units they've never used before. Newer players will have a tougher time doing the event in general.

This event rewards players with Custom Tickets and Haro Coins of all kinds, as well as Diamonds. UR-rarity gears for Armored units are also up for grabs.

All the available UR-rarity Armored Gears can be won by clearing the event after using 120 points.
