Scarlet is a Boss Challenge enemy found in Stellar Blade. Read on to know more about Scarlet and her location, attack patterns, and rewards, as well as a detailed strategy on how to beat her here!
| Enemy Information | |

Scarlet |
|
| Class | Boss Challenge |
| Combat Summary | |
|
・Scarlet focuses on various wide combos that EVE must parry in order to provide an opening. ・Perfect dodging is recommended as well since she also has a lot of unparriable attacks. ・Shorten your combo intervals to keep you prepared to parry her attacks whenever you can. |
|

After finishing Scarlet and Volt's last mission, you will need to purchase all Nikke cosmetics from Volt's shop using Bone-Wrenches in order to unlock the Scarlet Boss Challenge.
Do note that you will need to head back to the main menu and select Boss Challenge to access her boss fight.

Although a majority of Scarlet's attacks can be parried, she does like to mix in unparriable moves that require you to dodge instead. Always keep a look out for the yellow flash before she executes her move as this signals that you need to dodge the attack instead of parrying.
Keep in mind that Scarlet is on the same level as the endgame bosses such as Providence so make sure you have EVE upgraded enough to take her on.
| How to Perfect Parry | How to Perfect Dodge |
Scarlet tends to do a dash attack whenever you try to heal within her range which can be annoying for most of the time. In order to counter this, we recommend keeping a large distance from her as you heal so that even if she dashes towards you, her attacks won't reach you in time to stagger you.
Staggering her first with your Beta skills before you start healing can also work to prevent her from attacking you during your healing animation.
| Exospine | Stats and Effects |
|---|---|
Protection-Type Exospine |
Exospine specialized in survivability |
・Shield Protection Level
3★: +1 ・Shield Damage Reduction (Max) 3★: 52.5% ・Melee Damage Reduction 3★: 10% ・Ranged Damage Reduction 3★: 10% |
Reflex-Type Exospine |
Exospine specialized in guard and dodge |
・Faster Shield Regeneration
・Easier Perfect Dodge ・Easier Perfect Parry |
Beta Trance-Type Exospine |
Exospine specialized in improving Beta Skills |
・Increases Beta Energy recharged by 12%.
・Attack Power of Beta Skills increases by 12%. ・Successful Beta Skill hits have a chance to place you in a Trance. Beta Skills won't consume Beta Energy in Trance mode. |
We highly recommend equipping the Reflex-type exospine since the Scarlet fight focuses on parrying and dodging attacks. As soon as you unlock your second Exospine, make sure to equip the Protection-type as this will help you survive hits that you were not able to parry, while also providing more shields and healing.
Alternatively, you can also equip the Beta Trance-Type exospine as you will be constantly spamming your Beta skills due to the amount of parries you have to do during the fight.
All Exospine Locations and How to Get

The best skills to use against Scarlet are Triplet to easily punish and stun her after her long combos, and Shock Wave to stagger her from afar and give you more openings to heal and execute combos.
| Gear | How to Get |
|---|---|
Beta Charge Gear |
★☆☆: Eidos 7 Drops from defeating Abaddon ★★☆: Altess Levoire Drops from Defeating Maelstrom in Altess Levoire ★★★: Altess Levoire Drops from Defeating Democrawler |
Beta Enhancement Gear |
★★☆: Matrix 11 Drops from defeating Juggernaut ★★★: Matrix 11 Talk to D1G-g2r after returning from Eidos 4. Clear all of D1G-g2r side quests first. |
Beta Recovery Gear |
★☆☆: Wastelands Defeat Corrupter in Wastelands ★★☆: Xion Purchase from Kaya's shop in Xion ★★★: Xion After entering Space Logistics Complex, turn left to find a container near the crane. This contains the gear. |
Do note that since you will be using Beta skills most of the time, we also suggest equipping all the Beta-related gear since you will be accumulating a ton of Beta from all your parries and dodges.

When Phase 2 starts, Scarlet will darken the arena and put a spotlight on you to send out a series of illusions. Parrying at least 5 of her illusion attacks will completely drain her shield gauge, allowing you to stagger her and execute your most powerful moves once her combo ends.
Once Scarlet reaches the last 5 squares of her health, she will execute the same move again with an additional 3-hit ranged attack that she will send out before her last combo. Successfully surviving and parrying this move will end the fight and allow you to claim her rewards.
