Learn the Perfect Dodge Skill

While dodging is unlocked from the start, the Perfect Dodge is a Skill you must unlock in the skill tree first.

Unlocks skills with SP in the Skill Kiosks found in camps.

Perform a Dodge Right Before Getting Hit

Perform a Perfect Dodge by pressing the Dodge Button (Circle Button) right before an attack hits you.

Perfect Dodges grants you temporary invulnerability and a chance to perform a counter-attack!

Do a Counter-Attack after a Perfect Dodge

After a successful Perfect Dodge, press the Heavy Attack Button (Triangle Button) to perform a counter-attack.

This counter-attack leaves you vulnerable to their attacks, so do this after dodging the last hit from an enemy's flurry of attacks.

The Skill Tree unlocks other options you can perform after a successful Perfect Dodge.

Perfect Dodge Tips

Memorize Enemy Patterns

You'll want to identify which attack patterns the enemy uses then time your dodges against their attacks. Dodging too late or too early will cause your dodge to fail so it is important to get the timing right by knowing their patterns first.

Equip Exospines and learn skills that can enhance and extend the window that you can use a Perfect Dodge. The Reflex-Type Exospine as wella s the Reflex Boost both helps with dodging so make sure to utilize these options if you're having trouble with dodging enemy attacks.

How to Upgrade Dodge

Upgrade Perfect Dodge in Camp

Upgrades for the Perfect Dodge are available in camps in the Skill Kiosks.

These upgrades vary from improving the timing window to extra moves you can perform after a successful Perfect Dodge.

All Perfect Dodge Upgrades

Reflex Boost is the best Perfect Dodge to get early, which increases the timing window to input Perfect Dodges.

The next best upgrade will be Chain Reflection I for a powerful counter-attack, followed by Repulse for a way to deal with Fatal Attacks.
