The Day 1 Patch is now live for Stellar Blade and fixes an unfortunate placement of the Hard Graffiti next to the R Store sign. Keep reading to see what the Patch contains including the New Game Plus!

This update also marks the release of Stellar Blade! Alongside are fixes for bugs in link battles and other feature adjustments to accomodate the update. Be sure to download this update for better QoL improvements.

Day 1 Patch New Features

New Game Plus

The main thing that the Day 1 Patch added was the New Game + Mode. Just like any other game, New Game+ lets you restart the game but with all the items and equipment you have obtained to carry over so you can easily mow through enemies!

Day 1 Patch Confirmed Bug Fixes

Removes Unintentional Hard R Sign

An unintentional placement of the Hard graffiti next to the sign for the R Shop has caused quite a stir in the community. A spokesperson for Playstation has stated:


The placement of two graphics near each other in Stellar Blade resulted in an unintentional objectionable phrase. Shift Up had no intention of creating offensive artwork and will be replacing the graffiti for the Day 1 patch.

As stated, downloading the patch will replace the "Hard" graphic with "Crime" instead.

Other Bug Fixes and Improvements

The Day One patch also fixed the input time for basic attacks, as well as the timing of blocking and parrying to be more responsive. Also, the chromatic aberration and grain noise effects can now be toggled on/off.
