Patch 1.003 was added on May 24, 2024 at 07:00 UTC and 6:00 JST and includes the long awaited Boss Challenge mode alongside some quality of life fixes for the game!
Patch 1.003 New Features
Boss Challenge Mode
Boss Challenge is a new game mode where players can take on all 19 bosses in the game consecutively in three difficulty settings: Story, Normal, and Hard modes!
New Stellar Blade Boss Challenge Mode DLC
Neurolink Suit Reward
Completing Boss Challenge in Normal or Hard difficulty will reward you the Neurolink Suit, one of the brand new outfits EVE can wear in the game!

Two additional Kunoichi Nanosuits will be added in Patch 1.003 and are automatically added to your inventory after downloading the patch.
Quality of Life and Bug Fixes

| ・Fixed bugs such as unplayable sections, events not triggering, and trophies not being awarded. ・Added an auto-lock-on option when exiting ranged mode. ・Added option to always show the compass in HUD. ・Slightly increased the time limit for puzzles. ・Many other improvements have been made to the controls, balance, and more. |
Patch 1.003 also added quality of life and bug fixes, such as fixing potentially game-breaking bugs that involve unplayable sections, events not triggering, and even trophies not being awarded.
Additionally quality of life changes include the option to always show the compass in the HUD, as well as increased time limit for puzzles!

FYI, it also adds two new nanosuits which were previously not available, Midsummer Alice and Midsummer Redhood. The patch dropped when I was in Spire 4, so I got them from Roxanne shop when I returned from there, but maybe they are available before, don't know. And maybe the also get NG+ recolors, will have to check that out.
