How to Beat Bosses Effectively

Tips and Strategy

Study the Movements Very Carefully

Stellar Blade - Boss Movements

When the boss fight starts, it is best to detach yourself from the boss initially and observe from a distance.

From here, you can observe their attack patterns and you can plan your best strategy on dealing with them.

Use the Corresponding Evasion Skill

Yellow

Blue

Purple

(Tilt PS4 - Left Stick.png Down + PS4 - Circle Button.png)
Teleports behind enemy and attacks. Gain Burst Energy when Blink is successful.

When enemies emit a certain colored glow, it means they're about to unleash an unblockable attack that's impossible to counter. Fortunately, Eve has plenty of evasive skills to avoid these heavy attacks!

These evasive skills will only activate when the enemy glows a certain color so you'll need to be aware of what color the enemy glows so you can perform the correct evasive skill!

Red Light Means A Continuous Attack

When the enemy emits a red light, this means that the attack it will do is a continuous attack, meaning it's not gonna stop unless they land all their intended hits.

Timing your parries is important to successfully protect yourself from potential fatal damage.

Beta Skills Are Powerful

Beta Skills allow you to unleash powerful attacks and require Beta Energy, which you can replenish by perfect parrying or dodging enemy attacks.

Beta Skills range from defensive, single-target, or AOE attacks and are best used against strong enemies, especially those with Shields!

Earn SP and Unlock Skills

Stellar Blade - Skill Tree

There are many skills Eve can learn throughout the game. When you feel like you cannot defeat a boss easily, considering unlocking more skills on Eve's Skill Tree.

Unlocking Skills can help you very much as it can provide you with more combos or strengthen your existing skills. It is best to consider farming SP first before heading straight on to a boss fight.

Use an Exospine That Suits Your Playstyle

Stellar Blade - Use an Exospine That Suits Your Playstyle

Exospines are game-altering equipment that empowers and rewards certain playstyles, such as more powerful Combos and better Perfect Parry windows!

Make sure to collect and try out all of the Exospines, especially since each Boss has their own weakness and each Exospine has its own strengths. Try to match the best Exospine to the boss' weakness.
