If the only goal is to farm SP, setting the difficulty to Story Mode is optimal as the acquired SP per enemy is the same regardless of the chosen difficulty.

The Training Gear is specifically designed to aid Eve in SP gathering as it provides an additional SP bonus whenever Eve kills an enemy.
By resting at any camps nearby, Eve will completely restore her health. Additionally, this will also respawn all the enemies you have fought in the area so far.
This is beneficial as you can kill the enemies again for more SP and repeat the cycle.
A very useful skill not only for farming SP, but for combat in general, is the skill Ambush. It allows for you to attack the enemy from behind, dealing fatal damage immediately.
Aside from enemies, corpses also give SP when examined. Use your drone to Scan your environment regularly as it also detects corpses nearby.

This location is best for SP Farming as it provides 100 SP per round of defeating enemies in approximately 1 minute. All you need to do is to defeat enemies, come back to the camp and rest, and repeat.
Enemies also drop Gold, which means you'll also have enough gold to purchase upgrades later on.

SP is used for unlocking Skills. By unlocking skills, Eve will add them to her repertoire and become stronger. There are many skills that can make her stronger so it is important to prioritize what you think the best skills are.
Note that you can only unlock skills when inside camps.

You can always reset your skills using an item called the SP Initializer. You can buy these at shops or obtain it from chests.
