Mann is a Boss Challenge enemy found in Stellar Blade. Read on to know more about Mann, its location, attack patterns, rewards, as well as a detailed strategy on how to beat it.

Unlocked After Finishing The Game
In order to unlock the Mann boss challenge, you first have to finish a playthrough by reaching one of the endings of the game and defeating their final boss. Doing so will finish the game and roll the credits, where you will immediately unlock Mann as soon as you select the Boss Challenge mode.

Use the Maximum Preset
Before taking on Mann, make sure you select the Maximum Preset which is automatically unlocked together with the boss challenge. This preset gives you access to a completed Skill Tree, fully maxed out Upgrades, and all the top tier Enhancement Gears which you can use to customize your build for defeating Mann.
Equip Reflex and Beta-trance Exospines

We highly recommend equipping the Reflex-Type exospine to help you easily parry and dodge his attacks. As soon as you unlock your second Exospine, make sure to equip the Beta Trance-Type exospine as this will help you execute Beta Skills more consistently, which can stagger Mann more often than usual.
Stay Close to Parry Melee Attacks
Make sure to stay close to Mann so that he keeps using melee attacks since they can be easily parried and telegraphed throughout the fight. This gives you more opportunities to whittle down Mann's health as you can safely execute various powerful combos after parrying his attacks.
Do note that in cases where he does use ranged attacks, try to Perfect Dodge his rocket launcher and grenades since they cannot be parried.
Overhead Smashes Will Activate The Glaive
As soon as Phase 2 starts, Mann will attack with his large Axe and start doing Overhead Smashes where if he does enough of them or you at least parry, it will remove the casing of his axe and turn it into a Glaive. This enables him to execute more Glaive-type moves with various long combos that you will need to watch out for.
Use Burst Attacks to Tank Difficult Hits
Burst Attacks are extremely helpful against Mann since they provide a large invulnerability window during their attack animations. Use this as much as you can, especially during his 2nd phase since Mann gains access to a bunch of powerful moves that can easily destroy you if you are not careful.

Royal Guard Suit Outfit
Defeating Mann on Normal difficulty or higher will reward you with the Royal Guard Suit outfit that is usually worn by the royal guards of Xion. Do note that Mann is considered on par with endgame bosses so make sure you use the Maximum preset to help take him on easier.
