Talk to Kaya at the Sisters' Junk to start the quest.

Complete Alpha Signal

To start the Encounter side quest, you must have completed the main mission, Alpha Signal.

Must Have Max Affinity with Kaya

To start the quest, you must also have a maxed out affinity with Kaya. To increase her affinity, purchase items from her shop.

Encounter Sidequest Objectives

Behemoth Boss Fight

After reaching the area marked on the map in the Northern Great Desert, you'll be ambushed by the Elite Naytiba, Behemoth. It's a larger and stronger version of the behemoths you fight in the Wastelands and it uses more moves than its lesser counterpart.

Kara is Found Near the Quest Marker's Vicinity

Kara can be found near the area after defeating the Behemoth. She'll be found by the edge of the walls near a cluster of rocks.
