The Shield Breaker Beta Skill is one of the best Skills in the game. A single use of the skill when maxed out can easily deplete an enemy's shield (normal and bosses alike) from full value.

Stellar Blade - Triplet
Triplet

Skill Tree Beta Skill

Stellar Blade - Rush
Rush

Perfect Parry

Completely parries an enemy's attack and damages the enemy's Balance.
Skill Tree Survival Skill

Perfect Parry is the best move in the game. It completely negates an attack's damage while also building up your beta skill gauge that allows you to use beta skills.

Skill Tree Tachy Skill

Stellar Blade - Double Dodge
Double Dodge

Skill Tree Survival Skill

Stellar Blade - Punishing Edge Icon
Punishing Edge
Releases Burst Energy to deal a fatal blow to nearby enemies. Pushes back hit enemies.
Skill Tree Burst Skill
SP Cost 1
BU Cost 3

A high damage burst skill. It's an alternative option to dispatching enemies near you similar to Tempest but at a much lower burst gauge cost. Unfortunately, it has a lower range which makes it unoptimal against multiple enemies while the balance damage of Descending Break more than makes up for the damage loss that Punishing Edge deals.

Overdrive

Stellar Blade - Overdrive Icon
Overdrive
Overloads the body with Burst Energy to increase melee Attack Power and Attack Speed.
Skill Tree Burst Skill
SP Cost 1
BU Cost 3

Skill Tree Survival Skill
SP Cost 1
BE Cost 1

A counter move that EVE can use after a perfect dodge. Unfortunately, it consumes Beta energy (and Burst Energy if Chain Reflection is used) which can be used for stronger options which makes these skills as suboptimal options.

Counter and Counter Chain

Skill Information
Stellar Blade - Counter I
Counter I

Can only be uesd upon successful Perfect Parry of an enemy's attack. Moves quickly behind the enemy to counter. Stuns the enemy. This is a Combo Attack Skill.
Skill Tree Survival Skill
SP Cost 1
BE Cost 1

Similar to Reflection and Chain Reflection, these are moves that you can use after a successful Perfect Parry but these consume Beta and Burst Energy which makes them suboptimal for the majority of scenarios.

Aerial Blow

An aerial attack that makes EVE land after executing it. A very lack luster move and the SP spent learning this skill is better spent on a different skill instead.

Beta Chain

Increases the damage of your combo's last attack if the corresponding last input is held. Unfortunately, this also consumes Beta energy which makes it a suboptimal option to consider.
