| 1 | Follow Tachy While Completing the Game's Tutorials After gaining control of Eve, you'll immediately be instructed to follow Tachy to the Rendezvous point. Continue following her as you go through the game's main tutorial. ▶ Combat Tips and Combos |
| 2 | Once you Gain Access to Sprinting, Avoid the Red Marks on the Floor After learning the basics of combat, you'll start a sequence where Tachy will ask Eve to sprint using the L3 command. While sprinting and following Tachy, be sure to avoid the glowing marks on the ground as these indicate that a debris will fall on that area and cause damage. |

Losing the Fight will still Proceed the Story
You will only have the most basic moveset and several skills will be unavailable which makes Brute a difficult boss fight to defeat especially for players new to the genre. But do not worry as defeating Brute is completely optional and losing will still progress the story.
Use the Fight as an Opportunity to practice Parrying
Parrying will be a core mechanic of the game and this will be one of the better places to practice your parrying skills against a boss fight. Do not be pressured and take the battle as a learning experience.
Attacks that Flash as Yellow Cannot be Parried
As soon as the Brute begins to wind up, its head may flash a large, yellow circle. You will need to dodge this attack instead of parrying, as this signifies an unblockable attack.
