To find the Channel Catfish, you have to fish on the cave that leads to the Wastelands. You have to find an ideal spot where the lure won't land on the edge of the pond to get a higher chance for fish to bite.

Aside from fishing in the cave, you also have to use the right bait to capture the Channel Catfish. To get a Channel Catfish to bite, use a Wriggling Insect as opposed to the standard Small Shrimp.
