Unlike most bosses that will summon new additional support once you clear the lackeys, Mother will not summon any other support unit. Defeating and/or constantly breaking the Aide gives you a better chance of survival since you will be able to juggle breaking Mother and breaking the Aide along with managing your own team.
Mother has the ability to heighten her Shield Points, while this does seem intimidating to break her. As long as you can manage damage mitigation, continue peppering her with attacks that can break her. As long as you use attacks that damage her highly, even without completely breaking her, you can claim victory.
