How to Beat Rafflesia

Details

Rafflesia can complicate things during battle with its reliance on inflicting status ailments. Apart from that, during the boss fight, your party's MP is continually decreasing. You should rely heavily on physical attackers for damage and on items for recovery.

Moveset

Rafflesia cycles between the technicks Pollen Dance, Cry for Help, and Nectar Volley. When this boss uses Cry for Help, its minions are Malboros that can also additionally inflict various status ailments. Pollen Dance and Nectar Volley inflicts Confuse and Sap, respectively.

Rafflesia also has access to the magicks Disablega, Sleep, Toxify, Drain, and Syphon.

Gambit

Strategy

Start the battle with your party's Black Mage casting Silence on Rafflesia. This will prevent it from using Cry for Help, making the battle a little easier.

It is recommended to use characters that have Remedy Lore 1 and 2 already learned on the battlefield. It's better to use 3 damage dealers on the party with gambits to use restoratives on themselves.

This is definitely not a difficult fight, but that is assuming Remedy Lores are already learned and the party is well-prepared with a good stock of Remedies.
