This page contains information for the Trial mode stages 81-90 in the game Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age (FFXII, FF12). What to expect from these stages, as well as the rewards and strategies to beat enemies, can be found here.
List of Contents
Stage 81-90 gives you Espers who can pose more than a challenge, as well as a surprising cast of allies-turned-villains--Rikken and his scurvy crew turns out to be more than a just a handful to handle!

Zeromus is made harder the second time around in Trial Mode. HIs stage has an active Magicks restriction effect in the battle, and to top it all off, even the relatively minor minions are harder to finish this time around.
The tricky part here is that Zeromus has no glaring weakness. You can either go for him directly and ignore the Dark Lords if you can, or do a Quickening chain for max damage, then ignore him for a while and focus on clearing the Dark Lords out.

As with last time, deal with Silence and Confuse from Chaos' attacks with Echo Herbs or Nu Khai Sands. Use Remedy if you have a lot of those. As for dealing with Chaos, you can fight him using Telekenesis or bouncing non-elemental spells off Reflect for max damage.
If you want to torture him, then you can go the route of using Nihopalaoa + throwing Remedy at him to inflict Sap and Slow, then using Gil Toss to mess with him some more.

Decoy and Wither works well in this stage, but cast Haste just to be quick on your Magicks. This could also be the first time you'll be casting Decoy frequently on your party. Reverse is also a good spell to use to deal with the multiple thousand-HP damage of these three Tyrants.

Rikken and his crew, along with Elza and Raz, are more than just a fair challenge; each of them can wittle down your party's HP, and they have Reflect on them. A quick Warp Mote at the start works to reduce their numbers, then use Reverse + Decoy. Once THEY start using Reverse, go to work by throwing your best healing potions on them.

Remember the Wither technicks you used the last time, along with other spells? That works in this battle too. What's more, the Hell Wyrm's HP has dwindled to just 1 million in these stages, so it is easier to get rid of him this time around.

If you set the game to fast and have Holy element-weapons on your best physical attackers, you'll find that this is a quick battle. This is made special because the Mina--one of the strongest Ninja swords/daggers in the game--can be stolen from the Evil Spirit. In the main game, you'll have to steal it from the notoriously-rare Larva Eater.

You'll find that the Lightning Fang works like a charm against this beast, who is weak against Lightning-element attacks. Lightning-based spells and weapons will also similarly work great against him.

Set your White Mage to manual, then have another mage with the Green Magicks Reverse and Decoy work on casting these on your strongest character. A good tactic would be to keep the Behemoth King in a Magick-Immune loop by casting Arise on him once he puts up a paling to become Immune to physical attacks.
