Vayne Solidor is -almost- the final boss of the game. He will, in fact, shift to more difficult forms as the battle rages on, and this form is an 'appetizer' of sorts. Vayne Solidor will rely mostly on physical attacks in this form and doesn't really prove to be much trouble.
Vayne's moveset in this form is taken from the quintessential Monk playbook--he has the standard Kick, Lunge, and various other physical attacks. The moves your party needs to watch out for are Mach Wave and Force of Will, both of which deals moderate damage to everyone.

Casting Protect on your party will make the battle easier, since most of Vayne's attacks are physical. Keep healing the party and Vayne will fall shortly after.
