What Does Giving 10,000 Gil to Hart Do?
This is a guide to giving 10,000 Gil to Hart during Chapter 16 in Final Fantasy 7 Remake (FF7R). Read on to learn to decide whether you should give Hart the Gil or not!
Helping Hand Quest
After speaking with Mayor Domino at the 62nd floor of the Shinra building, Hart will offer you to give information about the Avalanche collaborator for 10,000 Gil. The player can choose to pay Hart for the information or not.

If you paid 10,000 Gil, Hart will give a short description of the Avalanche collaborator. Barret will rant about it which causes Hart to give the EKG Cannon as bonus to "preserve your relationship".
If you chose not to, the conversation will end. You can still talk to him if you change your mind but he will not change his. The price for the information and the weapon will still be 10,000 Gil.

Your answer will not affect the flow of the story and you will still be able to progress through even if you chose not to pay so feel free to check the results above and choose your desired answer.
It is recommended, however, to pay Hart 10,000 Gil since this is the only way to obtain the EKG Cannon.

Anonymous over 5 yearsMight as well give him the 10K Gil. Gil in this game is easy to obtain anyways. Especially, since this is the only way to acquire the EKG CANNON. Honestly, part of me wants to do so, to hear Barret's monologue.
