A member of the anti-Shinra resistance group Avalanche. Wedge is tasked with gathering information and placating rival groups using his impressive list of contacts and personal charm. He also plays the vital role of testing new menu items at Seventh Heaven. The mood maker who eases tensions between the other members, he is a vital part of the team.

Does Wedge Die?

In the aftermath of the fall of Sector 7 Plate, Cloud, Barret, and Tifa runs into one of Wedge's cats, which guides them to the rumored underground Shinra laboratory. They find Wedge in one of the rooms and rescues him after defeating the Failed Experiment and countless of Unknown Entities. Cloud and the others go back to the surface and Wedge is taken to safety at the end of Chapter 13.

After managing to survive from multiple wounds, Wedge is seen alive and well again inside the Shinra Tower in Chapter 17.
