Mission Battle is a high-difficulty PvE event in Gundam UC Engage. Read on to learn how the event plays and the rewards it has in store.
List of Contents

Mission Battle is an objective-based event where players must clear stages of escalating difficulty while accomplishing missions for each battle.
There are three missions for each stage, and you'll earn various rewards for clearing each battle and completing each mission.
Like with the other EX events, any player who is at or under Player Rank 160 is not eligible to participate in this event.

In this game mode, you can earn plenty of valuable rewards such as Diamonds, Haro Coins, and UR Custom Tickets by clearing stages and completing the conditional missions. That said, one of the trickier parts about this game mode is to fulfill those conditional missions.
The missions of all 5 battles in this event include having to clear the stage with a 3 Blue-type mobile suits, without losing any units, and with 120 seconds or more left on the clock. Each of these missions rewards you with Haro Coins of different kinds, both on completion and through the game's Achievement Rewards.
This event was made to showcase the brand new Methuss. That said, having this MS on your team increases the likelihood of you clearing more of the event's mission conditions, especially the first two we've mentioned above.

There are six stages in Mission Battle, during which you will face a squad of Yellow-type mobile suits of increasing strength. But before you field your best units, you must first take note of two key things.
First, the grunt units on the enemy squad occasionally respawn. You can turn that fact to your advantage by using mobile suits with good EX skills, as eliminating enemy MSs restores a good amount of your EX gauge.
Next, each stage lasts for three minutes, regardless of how well you perform. So, try to avoid using mobile suits and pilots with buffs that expire past 30 seconds after the game starts.
Mission Battle requires you to beat the key units on the enemy team to succeed, and simply surviving throughout the match's 3-minute duration won't be enough to clear a stage.

Missions 1-3 can be beaten by most endgame level teams, even players who are completely free to play. However, clearing the battle and completing all the missions are two different things, and the latter might be too tough, even for endgame level players, as reported by many in the community.
Missions 4 and 5, on the other hand, are extremely difficult, even if you spend plenty of money on the game, or even if you're one of the game's top players. That said, try to manage your expectations, and don't get too frustrated if you can't complete the event.
The-O (Purple)
|
The enemy appears to follow the typical event game mode targeting system, where the enemies hit your highest HP unit first, along with any Green-type units that suffer a type disadvantage in this stage. That said, try to draw aggro towards a tanky defensive juggernaut to enable your team to do their respective jobs in peace.
The absolute best in this role is the Purple-O, thanks to its extremely tough defenses, access to Perfect Guard with high guard rate to pair alongside it, and high AoE damage. You don't need Gyan here since it'll draw aggro by itself, provided that it's the highest HP unit on your team and you constantly keep its HP topped up.
Methuss (UR)
|
GM (GR)
|
Victory 2 Assault Gundam
|
It doesn't take long for the enemy units in this event. Come Mission 1, the enemies will then be capable of beating your Purple-O, or whatever defensive unit you have tanking for your team. For this reason, field in one of these healers above. As mentioned earlier, the Methuss is the event's featured unit. It's ability to not only heal its entire team, but revive a Blue-type ally each time it uses its EX skill. This boosts your odds of clearing the battles, while also helping you accomplish the event's conditional missions.
If you don't have the Methuss, use one of the following units. The GM (GR) continues to be one of, if not the best, PvE AoE healer given how cheap it is to invest in, while the V2A shines as the game's premier single-target healer with a great defense and a defense offense too.
Magna Martell (Awaken)
|
Geymalk
|
Sinanju (Generic)
|
Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D)
|
Zeong
|
Crossbone Gundam X2
|
Kshatriya Repaired
|
Unicorn Gundam NT-D (White Unicorn)
|
Now that you have the tank and healers out of the way, look to add some firepower to your team with these top-tier DPS options. The MMA, Geymalk, Generic Sinanju, and PF NT-D need no introduction and are all very powerful meta DPS mainstays for PvE.
The Zeong, Crossbone X2, Repaired Kshatriya, and White Unicorn, on the other hand, are the best Blue-type units in the game. Remember that the enemy units in this event are Red-type, so even if you don't intend on completing the event's missions, it's still beneficial to field these Blue-types in. All of these mobile suits are good options, though your Geymalk and Sinanju may deal a bit less damage than normal, as well as get targeted by your opponents early, no thanks to a type disadvantage against Red-type units.
Gundam Ez8
|
Narrative Gundam B-Packs
|
Char's Z'Gok
|
Look to round out your team with one or two of these units, depending on how your team composition is looking. If you have plenty of Generic and Sniper DPS units, opt for the B-Packs. Got lots of Bombardment and/or crit-oriented units on your team? Go with Ez8. Char's Z'Gok is a little bit different, as it'll thrive in pretty much any team comp, but only against key Gundam-Type units.
Remember that this event has been reported to be extremely difficult even for endgame level players, with some of the top Gundam UCE players in the world struggling with Mission 4 and especially Mission 5. That said, if you really can't beat this event's stages, don't beat yourself up over it.

Mission Battle event rewards are top-tier, simply because they reward you with Rainbow Haro Coins and UR Custom Tickets. They're also completely free to play without you needing to spend AP, so there's no excuse to miss out on these. Grind through the event as far as you can and stock up on these valuable rewards.
