0079 Crimson Lightning Event Overview

Crimson Lightning Event Panel - Gundam UC Engage

The 0079 Crimson Lightning Event is a story-based event that features the accounts of Johnny Ridden, as told by Kai Shinden and Shera Greymar. Its main content is divided into two sections; a fully-scripted Story Section, and a standard PvE section encompassing two difficulties.

Rewards are provided via Achievements, Cumulative Rewards, and Medal Unit Assembly gacha. Most, if not all of their requirements can be met by simply farming for Event Medals from the Normal and Hard stages. However, do take note that a total of 7,000 AP must be used, and 150,000 event medals must be obtained to get all of the Achievements and Cumulative Rewards.

These event medals can then be used on the Medal Unit Assembly gacha, which contains upgrade materials, gacha tickets, and even Diamonds.

Event Information

Story Section

Crimson Lightning Story - Gundam UC Engage

The event's first half is a narratively-driven experience with barely any need to plan mobile suit lineups. This is because each stage is set up such that players are required to use a pre-made team of GMs against the enemy in what are essentially scripted fights.

Normal and Hard Stages

Johnny Ridden Crimson Lightning - Gundam UCE

After getting through the story section, players will gain access to the Normal and Hard stages of the event. These are standard PvE matches with mission conditions similar to Main Story stages. Hence, avoiding mobile suits and pilots that grow stronger through the loss of allies is recommended.

The enemies in each stage share a common trait: they're all Purple-type mobile suits of varying categories. Hence, the use of Yellow-type mobile suits is recommended, provided that the frontline is built well enough to survive. Do note that while Yellow-type units are strong against Purple-types, the reverse is also true.

Recommended mobile suits include Gato's Rick Dom, Zeta Gundam, and Unicorn Gundam, as well as their respective best pilots.
