How to Farm Flower Points (FP)

In Super Mario RPG Remake, there are a few ways to increase your max Flower Points (FP), such as farming for the Booster Hill Flowers. Read on to learn how to farm Flower Points, how to increase your max FP, and how to use Flower Points!

To increase your maximum Flower Points (FP), you need to collect Flowers or use Flower items: Flower Tab, Flower Jar, and Flower Box. The highest you can increase your max FP into is 99 FP.

What is the Max Flower Points (FP) Total?

Save Scum for the Booster Hill Flowers

When you first reach Booster Hill, you'll get into a minigame where you have to chase Booster carrying Peach, and whenever you manage to touch Peach by jumping on Barrels or the Snifsters, you'll get a Flower.

You can only play this minigame once, so make sure to save before attempting this (just after the encounter with Booster in Booster Tower). At first, you might not be able to get the feel of the minigame yet and will only get a few Flowers. Reload your save and try again to get a better result!

This might not be an infinite FP farming method, but it's a lot of FP to be gained for free, so it's ideal to get the best result that you can.

Booster Hill Guide and Rewards

Return to Booster Hill for More Flowers

After the chase with Booster, if you return to the area, you won't be able to play the minigame with Booster again. However, you can still climb the hill, and it's recommended to do so, since there are a few Flowers on the ground for you to pick up! Make sure that you haven't brought a Beetle Box so you can see these flowers.

There are six flowers to get. If you don't get all the six in one run, don't worry; the remaining Flowers will still be there for you to pick up in the next run.

Once you've picked up all six, Toad will notify you that there are no more Flowers there.

Farm Flower Tabs Through Mushroom Boy

It shouldn't be hard to reach max FP by collecting the Flower items around the world, but if you need a repeatable resource of Flower Items, you can try your luck with Mushroom Boy in Seaside Town.

You can exchange Mushrooms with Mushroom Boy for random rewards, one of which is a Flower Tab. You can buy Mushrooms with coins from the Health-Food Store next door.

Note that this is quite a low chance, so it might take a while to get a Flower Tab. But this is the most reliable way to repeatedly increase your FP, so just be patient.

Work as Bellhop in the Marrymore Hotel

You can get a chance to get Flower Tabs or Flower Boxes as tips when you work as bellhop in the Marrymore Hotel, but it involves having to spend all of your money.

To do so, stay in the Suite (you'll need 200 coins for this), then rest for a lot of days in the Suite. If you try to leave but are unable to pay the Suite fee, you'll be made to work as bellhop until you're able to pay off the fee. In your job as bellhop, you'll occassionally get tips from the guests; sometimes, the tips they give are Flower items.

This is much slower than the Mushroom Boy method, the chance for getting a Flower item is also low (likely even lower), and you also have to spend all of your money, so it's not recommended doing this if you just want to farm FP.

How to Use Flower Points

Used to Perform Special Moves

Flower Points (FP) is a stat shared by all party members, and is used for Special attacks, such as Mario's Jump attack and Mallow's Thunderbolt attack.

When you run out of FP during battle, you'll no longer be able to use Special attacks until you restore your FP again.

How to Restore Flower Points

Use Syrups or Other FP Recovery Items

To restore your depleted FP, you can use the Syrups which specifically restore your FP, such as Honey Syrup. These can be used in battle.

Other items that restore FP are the Croaka Cola, and any of the Flower items that raise the max FP; alongside their other effects, they also restore your FP to full.

You can also fully restore your FP by resting in an Inn or finding a Mushroom in a Treasure Chest.
