Best Equipment for Each Character
|
Jinx is a formidable enemy, known to be resistant to nearly every element and status ailment except Jump. Because of this, expect a difficult fight!
Mario will be your best bet as the main attacker due to his Jump special moves, and you might want to start practicing those Ultra Jumps to get the most damage out of it.
Best Special Moves for Each Character
Accessories | Where to Get |
---|---|
・Get in the underwater room behind barrels at the Sunken Ship. | |
・Visit Chow in Monstro Town after doing 30 consecutive Super Jumps. |
During the second fight with Jinx, you will want to have equipment that protects you already from Jinx's instant death move Silver Bullet such as the Safety Ring or the Attack Scarf.
If you cannot get the Attack Scarf yet, you can substitute it with the Defense Scarf for just higher defense.
It's best to have Peach's party member revive move Come Back ready at all times!
After defeating Jinx for the first time, make sure to prepare since he has new special attacks every match.
On the second match, he will start using the Silver Bullet, which is capable of causing instant death to one of your party members!
Most of Jinx's moves have naturally high damage, capable of one-hit KOs even without having the Mortal Blow effect (instant death). Fortunately, all of them can be blocked.
It is best to time Perfect Blocks to minimize damage, and to stock up on revival items like Pick Me Ups. Peach also comes handy in this battle since she can revive a party member with Come Back.
Jinx has an arsenal of one-hit kills due to his moves having naturally high damage. The one-hit kill potential of his moves is amplified by the buffs in his arsenal: Vigor Up and Valor Up.
He has one move that does apply a Mortal Blow named Silver Bullet. This attack can be negated by equipment that protects Mortal Blows such as the Safety Ring.
Of all of the attacks Jinx has, Bombs Away is the most dangerous.
While it is technically not capable of dealing Mortal Blows (and therefore cannot be negated by equipment), it deals extremely high damage, being able to defeat a party member in a single hit.
The best way to deal with Bombs Away is by doing perfect blocks, which negates all damage done by it.
