Best Equipment for Each Character
|
Item | Where to Get |
---|---|
Pick Me Up | ・Buy from Mushroom Kingdom, Rose Town, Sea, Sunken Ship, Seaside Town, Monstro Town, Nimbus Land, Barrel Volcano, or Bowser's Keep shop for 5 coins. ・Can also be bought from the Weapon World Toad for 3 coins only. |
All of Booster's attacks can only target one member at a time, but many of his moves are powerful.
Be sure to have plenty of Pick Me Ups (at least 5) with you for reviving down allies and restoring their HP! These can be bought early at the shop in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Special Moves | Effect |
---|---|
Thunderbolt | ・Press the button just before the bolt ends to increase the damage dealt by the Special Move. |
Terrorize | ・Rotate the left stick to clockwise or counterclockwise to increase the damage dealt by the Special Move. |
At the start of battle, Booster cannot be attacked. He also will not do any action during this time. Instead, his three Snifsters will fight for him first.
Aim to defeat all the Snifsters, which can be done quickly with multi-target attacks. Once the Snifsters have been defeated, Booster will become active to fight!
Best Special Moves for Each Character
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
Super Jump (Mario) |
・Press the button upon landing on the enemy for a timed bonus of another chance to jump, and increased damage!
・You can keep jumping up to 100 times in a row. |
Once the Snifts have been defeated, you can start targeting Booster. Exploit his weakness to Jump attacks with Mario whenever possible!
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
HP Rain (Mallow) |
・Press the button when the cloud starts raining for the move's timed bonus of increasing its healing effect. |
Booster and his Snifsters can hit hard, so make sure to make use of Mallow's HP Rain to heal him and other members of the party.
Whenever available, make sure to put Mallow on defense to keep him protected from attacks!
When dealing with the Snifsters, watch out for their multi-target special attacks like Static Electricity and Blizzard.
They each have a utility single-target special attack called Gunk Ball, which can Mute a party member. Having accessories like the Wake Up Pin can protect a wearer from the Silence status effect.
List of Status Conditions and How to Heal
Booster's most dangerous move is the Loco Express, a blockable special attack does a great deal of damage to a single member.
Watch out for this attack and time your blocks carefully to reduce the damage taken.

・+7 Attack, +7 Defense, +7 Magic Attack, +7 Magic Defense, and -5 Speed ・Halves damage taken from elemental attacks. |
It is better to win Booster's minigame instead of fighting him since not only will you avoid having to fight him, but it will also reward you the Booster's Charm, a powerful item that halves the damage of elemental attacks and alters stats.
Win the minigame by evading all of the Sniftsters! The boss fight with Booster will not net any reward.
You will be locked out from obtaining the Booster's Charm if you fail the minigame, so be careful!
