To equip grenades, hold the Left Button on your controller's D-Pad (U Key for PC) to open your equipment wheel, then press the A or X Button on your controller (4 Key for PC). This action takes some time, so make sure to do it while safely covered from enemy fire.
To throw a grenade, use the same controls as shooting your blaster. Hold the LT or L2 Button on your console (Right Mouse Button for PC) to aim, which will display a guided arc showing where the grenade will land. Then press the RT or R2 Button (Left Mouse Button for PC) to throw it.
Grenades are a great deterrent for shielded enemies as it allows you to make a ranged attack that instantly incapacitates them as long as you aim for their weak spots.
