How to Unlock The Slicer

The Slicer Location

You must first complete the Expert Intel to locate The Slicer and start the Expert Quest. The Expert Intel will be added to your Journal and Map after clearing the main quest called New Tricks.

To start progressing The Slicer, proceed to Mirogana in Toshara. Then, visit Makal's Gambling Parlor, the location marked above!

The Slicer Intel Walkthrough

1	Listen to the Underworld Rumors
	To start the Expert Intel, The Slicer, go to Makal's Gambling Parlor in Mirogana, Toshara. Once inside the gambling parlor, listen to a conversation near a jukebox to learn more about The Slicer. ▼ Underworld Rumors Walkthrough
2	Go to the Crimson Dawn District in Mirogana
	Once Kay Vess is done listening to the conversation inside the gambling parlor, go to the marked location in-game, which will lead you to the Crimson Dawn District in Mirogana. Do note that you at least need a good reputation with the Crimson Dawn for the guards to allow you to enter the district freely. If you have a good reputation with the Crimson Dawn, you can skip steps 3 to 6 of this walkthrough since you only need to sneak once you are inside the district's Restricted Area.
3	Enter the Vent
	If you do not have a good reputation with the Crimson Dawn, use the vent outside of the Crimson Dawn District to enter.
4	Takedown the Crimson Dawn Guards
	As you follow the marked location in-game, you will eventually encounter two Crimson Dawn guards as shown in the image above. Make sure that Guard 2 is not looking in your direction before taking down Guard 1. To takedown Guard 2, use Nix to distract them first. Then, sneak behind the guard to take them down quietly.
5	Takedown the Guard on the Bridge
	After immobilizing the two guards mentioned in the previous step, takedown Guard 3 on top of a bridge. To reach the guard, climb up the metallic structure to Kay's left.
6	Safely Go to Aila's Contact
	After defeating the guard on top of the bridge, go down and then proceed to Aila's Contact by following the path shown in the image above. Make sure to not alert the guards in the area by crouching and even dodging when needed.
7	Talk to Aila's Contact
	The Expert Intel ends after talking to Aila's Contact in the Crimson Dawn's Restricted Area. You will then unlock the Expert Quest called The Slicer. ▼ Aila's Contact Location

The Slicer Expert Quest Walkthrough

1	Steal the Code Sequencer
	Steal a Code Sequencer from an Imperial Facility in Southern Falls. The item will be on the imperial officer with the quest objective marker.
2	Meet with Aila
	Go to the Imperial Forward Base and infiltrate it by climbing the cliff on the right side of the base, then grappling across. From there, follow your quest objective marker to locate Aila. Head to the rooftop after the cutscene and attach the device on the Antenna to progress the quest. ▼ How to Meet With Aila
3	Disable the Defenses
	Follow your quest marker to reach the terminal and disable the defenses to allow Aila to escape. Remember that this mission has no stealth requirement, which means you can either sneak in or power through the base.
4	Reach Aila's Contact
	Leave the imperial base and head back to Makal's Gambling Parlor to meet with Aila's contact and finish The Slicer .

Underworld Rumors Walkthrough

Shown above is the exact location where Kay has to listen in order to progress the Underworld Rumor sub-objective. This is located near a jukebox inside Makal's Gambling Parlor in Mirogana.

Aila's Contact Location

Shown above is the exact location of Aila's Contact. Talking to Aila's Contact in the Crimson Dawn District, Toshara will end the Expert Intel and then trigger The Slicer's Expert Quest.

How to Meet With Aila

After landing on the walkway inside the Imperial Forward base, jump onto the panel sticking out of the building in front of you, climb up on to the rooftop, and use the ladder to climb down and open the door.

It will be straightforward upon entry, and no Imeprial Officers will be alerted of your presence as long as you remain crouched. Aila will be at the small room on the first floor, and a cutscene will trigger upon meeting her.

Aila Bren, The Slicer, will teach you abilities related to the Slicing Kit, Kay's Blaster, Smoke Bombs, Nix, and enemy detection.

Completing The Slicer expert quest also unlocks the Slicing Kit for Kay Vess to use. It is a gadget that allows Kay to connect to advanced, terminal-less devices.
