(During Beginnings) Steal From Guards

Steal From Guards in Early Game.png

During the first Main Story Quest, Beginnings, Kay is tasked to provide 100 Credits to Preeban to get her Data Spike fixed. At this time, the fastest way to accrue this sum is by going around and stealing credits from at least 3 guards with the help of Nix.

Do note that stealing is only sustainable in this early game scenario as other means of earning more credits will be unlocked as you progress the story.

Complete Contracts

Estimated Earnings 500~1000 Credits per contract

Contracts are the best way to earn a lot of credits in a short amount of time as they reward around 500 to 1000 Credits when completed. We recommend choosing contracts that take palce in orbit as they are faster and easier to do than contracts that involve stealth.

This method is also viable as it not only gives you credits but it also raises your Reputation with the affiliated Syndicate.
How to Increase Reputation

Sell Valuables

Estimated Earnings Varies on Valuables sold

Old Equipment and Valuables that have no use will inevitably stock up in your inventory as you loot chests and explore the open world while you progress the game. This surplus of supplies can be sold to any merchant in exchange for Credits.

Gamble in Kessel Sabacc

Estimated Earnings 600+ Credits per win

Gambling at Kessel Sabacc tables offers a chance to earn Credits, with High Roller tables potentially rewarding you with upwards of 600 Credits for a win. However, this comes with a risk: the minigame can take a significant amount of time, and there is always a possibility of walking away with nothing.

This method is not highly recommended, although your chances of winning may be increased with the appropriate cheats learned such as the Double Draw.

Credits can also be earned by betting on the winning Fathier in the Canto Fathier Racing minigame. It's a generally risky minigame if you're playing it normally.

However, throughout the course of exploration, you'll come across datapads that'll reveal the winner of the next race. You can use those to guarantee a credit score, but it's not recommend to spend all your time looking for those datapads, as it's not worth the time investment.

Credit Exploit Method

Early Game Credit Farming Method

In the Main Story Quest, The Wreck, there is an opportunity to repeatedly transfer 100 Credits to yourself by hacking into a terminal. This can be done multiple times by dying and respawning, allowing you to earn 1000 Credits in just under 15 minutes. To maximize efficiency, ensure that the slicing minigame is disabled in your game’s settings.

"The Wreck" Credit Exploit
1 Credit Exploit Method Step 1 Create a Checkpoint by picking up the Quest Item.
2 Credit Exploit Method Step 2 Defeat enemies on the first floor and take the elevator up to the second floor.
3 Credit Exploit Method Step 3 With slicing disabled in settings, hack into the terminal and earn 100 Credits.
4 Credit Exploit Method Step 4 Exit the room and proceed to gain the attention of nearby enemies and be eliminated. Be sure to not get a wanted level up before you get eliminated. Otherwise, you'll just lose credits and this glitch will not work.
5 Respawn back into the room where you picked up the Quest Item and repeat steps 1-4.

Where to Spend Credits

Spend on Different Merchants

Star Wars Outlaws Purchase Items From the Tailor
You can spend your Credits on various useful items for exploration, including upgrade materials like Blaster Parts, and enhancements for your Speeder and Starship through Mechanics. Additionally, you can use Credits to purchase cosmetic items through the Tailor to customize your appearance and equipment.

Bribe NPCs

Use Credits to Bribe NPCs
You can also use your Credits to bribe certain NPCs, granting you access to otherwise inaccessible areas. This can be a strategic way to bypass obstacles without having to complete additional objectives.
