It's possible to max out your reputation with all 4 factions in Star Wars Outlaws. The fastest way to do so would be to take on Contracts via contract brokers, found on every planet (denoted on the map with a handshake icon). Contracts are generic, repeatable jobs Kay can take on.
Contracts will typically ask you to go to a restricted area on the planet to either steal or plant data, or go to orbit to deliver cargo. The easiest and fastest contracts to do are the ones that set in space since they're straightforward escort/delivery jobs. The ones on land require sneaking, and thus more time.
Contracts usually end with a mini-choice where you can either raise your reputation with the faction or choose to betray them for more Credits (in-game currency) while losing reputation. It's better to just stick with the faction that assigned you the contract, so that you increase both reputation and credits.
There are about a dozen choices you'll have to make while progressing the main quests and certain side quests. As indicated by the faction symbol that lights up when you hover over the options, the choice has more to do with your reputation with the factions than affecting the overall plot.
Additionally, even if you side with one faction throughout the entire story, it's not be possible to max out your reputation with that faction based off story choices alone. You'll really need to do contracts. Take that into account when deciding on certain choices.
Your abilities won't be fully available at the start of the game. You'll need to locate Experts and do their respective Expert Quests in order to get access to the abilities in their ability groups.
It's recommended to do this as early as possible since after getting access to the Expert's ability group, you'll still need to do in-game challenges to unlock the ability. These challenges are activities you do regularly in a playthrough, so it's best to get access to the Expert's ability group immediately so that the progress towards completing the challenge is tracked.
Star Wars Outlaws pushes for a more stealth-approach to its many quests. Stealth is the recommended approach, especially in faction restricted areas since being spotted in these areas damages your reputation with the respective faction. You can opt to be more aggressive if that's more your playstyle, but be wary about losing reputation.
Stealth-only areas are denoted with a “Do not get caught” message on the top right. In areas denoted with “Do not raise the alarm,” it's possible to trigger a loud firefight with the enemies, as long as you disable the alarms first or make sure no enemy is able to run to the alarm and trigger it.

Open restricted areas via the lockpicking minigame. You can change the difficulty of lockpicking through the settings, so you can make it easier for yourself to open doors!
You might overlook use of the binoculars since they aren't really given a tutorial in the game. However, they're very useful for tracking mobile/patrolling enemies in stealth areas. You can mark 10 enemies in a given area and they'll stay marked with a red triangle above their head until immobilized.
This is good for keeping track of how many enemies are left in an area and how close they are to you, especially given that the Nix Sense only reveals enemy locations for a short period of time.
You will encounter shielded enemies in the game. They can be hard to take down, so to make things easier, use the Adrenaline Rush ability to penetrate right through their shields.
