Nix will be jealous when you pet other animals. Certain animals will have the pet prompt when you approach them, and pressing the button will make Nix jealous as Kay pets the animal.

As soon as you unlock Mercenary abilities from Rooster Trace, you can immediately cross this unlock condition out in Bestine or Jaunta's Hope.

Ability Effect
Doubles the distance at which Nix will be able to detect and highlight enemies via the Nix Sense mechanic. Press up to use Nix Sense.

Making Nix Jealous is one of the unlock conditions for the Feelers Out ability.

Feelers Out is a handy ability when sneaking around Restricted Areas, so it is recommend unlocking this ability as soon as you can!
