Many players were curious about the ending of Last of Us 2, and were eager to learn whether or not your actions have an effect on the outcome. Read on to find out what can alter the ending, and whether or not TLoU2 has multiple endings.

Does The Last of Us 2 Have Multiple Endings?
The Short Answer Is No
No, The Last of Us 2 does not have multiple endings. The reason why it does not have multiple endings is because The Last of Us 2 is a narrative game. The game allows the players to experience both perspectives of the main characters, Ellie and Abby.
This in turn allows player to experience both sides of the story and go along with the events that happen in the game. As the player continues the game, the player will also learn the reasons behind their actions and help the characters achieve their goals in the linear narrative. Unlike many open-world games that have more open ended narratives and multiple conclusions, the game's story will play out in the manner that the developers intended for you to see.
Which Actions Will Influence the Story?
Once again, since TLoU2 is a very linear game that focuses on a single narrative, the player cannot take any actions that will alter the course of the cutscenes or ending. While some gamers prefer the type of game where your actions have a greater consequence, other may enjoy the fact that you are guaranteed to see the true ending on each playthrough, so in this sense, you are free to do whatever you won't while playing, since there will be no negative consequence.
