Last of Us 2 boasts some of the most accessible features of any game on the PS4 to date. Here we will take a look at the features in The Last of Us 2 that will help players with limitations such as blindness, low-vision, deaf, or motor disabilities.
List of Contents
The new Naughty Dog Playstation-Exclusive The Last of Us 2 is getting new features to help people with limitations play. There will be many options for making the game personalized for a particular person's needs, but here we have the presets within the game.
To start, we have the preset for people with limited vision. Many of the options here help make game elements easier to see, such as enlarging them, or added audio cues. There are also options that will make the game overall easier to play such as “Auto-Target”. The options toggled are as follows.
With the Hearing Accessibility Preset, the player will have more visual cues, such as subtitles, vibration cues, and prompts.
Here we have the preset for people with motor disabilities. Many of these options will make the game take care of many technically-challenging parts of the game
Along with a plethora of options to help people with impairments, the option to remap your controls freely, which has only really ever been seen in PC games, is a welcome addition that any gamer can take advantage of. Let's hope that other development studios will take note and start adding this to their games as well!
Below, we have a video of the remapping process from Naughty Dog.

I’m more of a stealth player so I didn’t enjoy the boss fight in the hospital. One touch and you’re dead, that’s not enjoyable or realistic. Might as well run outside and kick a bear. I’d get the same thing happen, dead. Too much story in this game as well, I feel like it’s hours of videos that takes away from the game play. Just give me the details and move it along. I don’t need to know who’s screwing who.
