Last of Us 2 boasts some of the most accessible features of any game on the PS4 to date. Here we will take a look at the features in The Last of Us 2 that will help players with limitations such as blindness, low-vision, deaf, or motor disabilities.

The Last of Us 2 Accessibility Presets

The new Naughty Dog Playstation-Exclusive The Last of Us 2 is getting new features to help people with limitations play. There will be many options for making the game personalized for a particular person's needs, but here we have the presets within the game.

Vision Accessibility Preset

To start, we have the preset for people with limited vision. Many of the options here help make game elements easier to see, such as enlarging them, or added audio cues. There are also options that will make the game overall easier to play such as “Auto-Target”. The options toggled are as follows.

  • Options: On or Off
  • Text-to-Speech
  • High Contrast Display
  • HUD Scale > Large
  • Lock-On Aim > Auto-Target
  • Traversal and Combat Audio Cues
  • Navigation and Traversal Assistance
  • Ledge Guard
  • Enhanced Listen Mode
  • Invisible While Prone > Unlimited
  • Skip Puzzle Option
  • Various adjustments in the Combat Accessibility menu

Hearing Accessibility Preset

Controller Remapping

Along with a plethora of options to help people with impairments, the option to remap your controls freely, which has only really ever been seen in PC games, is a welcome addition that any gamer can take advantage of.
