In recent years, the size of games has gotten larger and larger, and with some gamers having rather questionable internet connections, finally playing that game you've been waiting for to come out can be delayed by hours when met with a download and pending install. Preloading comes in to take care of that by allowing you to download the game before release, then allowing the user to play once the game is officially released.

If you want to play a game as soon as possible, preloading is the fastest method available, since you will be able to play immediately after launch. Just be sure your PS4 has the necessary space required to download!

Step 1	Enlarge First, navigate over to the store from the Playstation Home Screen.
Step 2	Enlarge Select the search bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3	Enlarge Type in the name of the game you are looking for (The Last of Us 2), until you see the game pop up on the right side. For us, The Last of Us 2 was the very first thing to show up. Select the game.
Step 4	Enlarge From the Buy page, you will be able to see information about the game and purchase it.
Step 5	Once you have purchased your game, the download should begin. You can select the game from the Home screen and see specifics about the game and when it will be available to play.
