This is a guide to installing and starting The Last of Us Part II using the Data Disk and Play Disk. Learn how to set up the game and how to use the game's two discs.

The Data Disk and the Play Disk
When you open your copy of The Last of Us Part II, you will find two Disks. The first disk, known as the Data Disk, will be used to install necessary data before starting the game. In order to do this, it is essential that you have enough space in your PS4 beforehand, so make sure to clear up some room beforehand.

How to Install and Start the Game
Insert the Data Disk First
To install necessary data needed to install the game, you will need to insert the Data Disk first. The Data Disk contains essential data needed to run the game, so if you don't start with the Data Disk, you won't be able to start playing the game.
Insert the Play Disk Second
After the installation on the Data Disk has completed, you'll be able to play the game. A notification will appear on screen telling you to remove the Data Disk and insert the Play Disk. At this time, hit the eject button on your PS4 to eject the disc, and insert the Play Disk.
From there, you'll be able to start playing the game.
