How to Activate Souped-Up Skills

Obtain the Soul Sigil

Soul Sigil

The Soul Sigil is dropped by Mariella once you defeat her in Den of Iniquity, found in the Ocean Floor.

Upon obtaining the Soul Sigil, you should be able to activate Souped-Up Skills as long as you meet its conditions.

How to Get Soul Sigil and Effects

Have 50% HP or Less

One activation condition of Souped-Up Skills is to have less than half of your HP. In combat, when the menu text turns yellow, that means your health is under 50 percent.

Attempting to activate Souped-Up Skills without meeting this condition will just have the protagonist cast the selected Spell or Ability normally.

Apply Specific Buffs on A Character

Certain buffs can also trigger Souped-Up Skills without lowering your HP. By applying the right status effect to a specific character, you can activate their Souped-Up Skill safely and avoid the risk of putting the party in danger, or worse, a wipe out.

Hold the Souped-Up Button to Activate the Skill

Once down to 50% HP the Souped-Up effect will be available, select the desired Spell or Ability and hold the Souped-Up Skill button to activate it. The selected skill will be highlighted green upon holding the Souped-Up Skill button

What are Souped-Up Skills?

Enhanced Versions of Spells and Abilities

Critical Hit

Souped-Up Skills are powered up versions of existing Spells and Abilities that can activated upon meeting certain conditions.

These skills are powerful and are recommended against Bosses, mobs of Monsters, but will require more MP from the party.
