How to Navigate the Cave of Confusion
Look for Low Gold Sparkly Spots
Unlike most other dungeons, the Cave of Confusion uses random maps that don't have clear exit points. To get through the dungeon, you will need to use the Snoop ability to search for Sparkly Spots near an exit.
The correct exit will always have a Sparkly Spot next to it, and you can check if it's the correct one by interacting with it and seeing if it grants a small amount of gold.
Optionally, Don't Pick Up the Sparkly Spot
It should be noted that if you do pick up the Sparkly Spot, it will disappear and future visits to the cave will be harder to navigate. If you plan on leaving and reentering the cave, it would be better not to pick up exit Sparkly Spots so you can still see where to go.
Hold Up to Get Through Floor 16
The 16th floor will have arrow tiles that change your directional inputs. This is the exact same room as the one found in Dragon Quest 3, and you can simply hold up to get to the exit.
As a note, you will miss out on the chests on this floor doing this. However, the only notable item to get is a Cat Suit, which isn't worth going out of the way for.
