Xenlon is a boss encountered in the Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake (DQ2). See how to beat this boss, the best equipment for the fight, and the boss' stats and moves here.
Xenlon is vulnerable to sleep, and you can use Princess of Moonbrooke’s Snooze spell to inflict it. Just make sure to equip the Duplic Hat to increase the chance of it landing.
You can also use Wild Side first to gain four chances to inflict Snooze on Xenlon.
List of All Spells and Abilities
You can use Wild Side on whichever Prince learned this ability via scroll to allow multiple actions in a turn. If used on the Prince of Midenhall, a combo of Wild Side and Dragon Slash should be enough to deal significant damage.
For the Prince of Cannock, you can add Divide to the mix to gain even more actions. Using Wild Side or Divide, and Sword Dance should help you deal massive damage to Xenlon.
Wild Side Effect and Level Learned
On certain turns, you can also use them to apply buffs to the party. Use the War Drum to boost everyone’s attack stat. Other abilities, such as Egg On and Gritty Ditty, are also great alternatives for applying buffs.
All Buffing Spells and Abilities
If any allies have low health, you can use the Prince of Cannock’s Fullheal to restore their HP to full. It only requires 8 MP, which shouldn’t be too taxing on your overall MP.

When asked for a wish, choose the wish for a new Tombola to gain access to the Liquid Metal Equipment Set. You can find this new Tombola in Cloudsgate Citadel.
Tombola Locations and How to Play
For your next wish, choose the weapon. This grants you Rubiss’s Sword, an excellent weapon to have given its base attack stat of 206.
You can ask for the Damage-Dealing Wish next. This grants you Critical Claim, which is a useful ability to have when farming Liquid Metal Slimes since crits are guaranteed.
You can go for the Damage-Dealing wish first if farming Liquid Metal Slimes is your priority. Otherwise, you can focus on the Tombola location if you’re looking to get the set first.
