How to Beat Hypermalediction

Prepare for a 1-on-1 Fight

Unlike most other bosses, this fight has the Prince of Midenhall as the only party member available. Before climbing up the ladder to face the Hypermalediction, it's recommended to use the best possible equipment you have on the Prince of Midenhall, even if it means unequipping your other party members.

Best Weapons and Armor

Play More Defensively

Since this is a one-on-one fight, it's recommended to play more slowly and defensively to be on the safe side. Prioritize using moves like Attack Attacker, Meditation, and Defend when needed so that you don't randomly die during the fight.

Use Demon Demeaner When It's Safe

If you're in a spot where you're buffed up and don't need to heal, you can start using Demon Demeaner to deal heavy damage to the boss. Just make sure to watch the Prince of Midenhall's HP and buffs so that you aren't caught off-guard and get one-shotted.

Activate Blood of the Berserker

Whenever you're at around 50% HP, you can use the Souped-Up version of Focus Pocus, Blood of the Berserker. This will heavily increase the Attack, Defense, and Agility of the Prince of Midenhall, helping make the fight a lot easier.

Do note, however, that the Hypermalediction can use Ripple of Disruption to remove your buffs, so only use this sparingly to conserve MP.
