The Wild Hog, Pillager, and Surgical Spirit are bosses encountered in the Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake (DQ2). See how to beat these bosses, the best equipment for the fight, and the bosses' stats and moves here.
List of Contents
The three bosses in this fight only use physical damage, making Kabuff amazing for this fight. Make sure to always have it active so that the party doesn't take too much damage.
Kabuff Effect and Level Learned
The most threatening combo that the enemies can do is Sweet Breath and Persecutter. To prevent taking a ton of damage if the Wild Hog puts you to sleep, it's recommended to kill the Surgical Spirit first so you don't have to worry about the Persecutter damage.
| Name | Effect |
|---|---|
| Banishing Bell | A curious bell that makes its bearer less likely to be affected by all manner of ailments. |
| Rousing Ring | An energising ring that helps prevent its wearer from being sent to sleep. Luck +7. |
Alternatively, you can wear anti-sleep equipment so that you don't have to worry about Sweet Breath at all. This also means you don't have to worry about Persecutter either, since the damage won't be boosted.
